Modi Speaks to the President of Sri Lanka and PM of Mauritius on Corona Crisis, Giving Assurance of Help

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday telephoned Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister of Mauritius PK Jagannath and assured of all possible help.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a telephone conversation with Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister of Mauritius PK Jagannath.

In this conversation, the Prime Minister discussed the impact of the Corona epidemic in the health and economic sector.

Prime Minister Modi assured the President of Sri Lanka and the Prime Minister of Mauritius that India will continue to provide all possible help to both countries to reduce the effects of the epidemic.

During the talks, President Rajapaksa also informed about the steps taken by the government to start economic activities in Sri Lanka.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted about this conversation and said that a good thing happened to Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The Prime Minister said that Sri Lanka is effectively fighting a battle with Corona under the leadership of Rajapaksa.

India will continue to support its neighbor in dealing with this epidemic and its economic effects.

PM Modi said that with the cooperation of India, we agreed to carry forward the development plans in Sri Lanka and strengthened investment relations.

Prime Minister Modi also gave a tweet about the conversation with the Prime Minister of Mauritius PK Jagannath.

PM Modi said that there are good relations between the people of Mauritius and India which are based on shared culture and values.

India will stand with its brothers and sisters in Mauritius during this difficult time.

 Congratulations on controlling Corona in Mauritius.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the people of Sri Lanka happiness and their healthy lives.

PM Modi assured the Sri Lankan President that India would continue all assistance to Sri Lanka to mitigate the effects of Corona.

Reports said that during the talks, the two leaders also stressed the need to expedite development projects in Sri Lanka with India's help.

Also shared thoughts about the epidemic and its effects.

It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been discussing the Corona crisis and its effects from world leaders from time to time.

 Presently, India is providing medicines and doctors services to all the countries of the world.

 So far more than 1600 cases of corona infection have been reported in Sri Lanka and 9 people have died.
