Eid-ul-Fitr - Eid Celebrating in Pakistan Amid Lockdown, Strips of Physical Distance Rules

The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated amidst the ongoing lockdown in the country. Despite the appeal of Imran Khan, people are not following the physical distance rules.

The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Pakistan amidst the havoc of the Coronavirus and the ongoing lockdown in the country.

The recent plane crash in the country has further faded its color, killing 97 people. However, during this time the rules of physical distance are also flying.

Large crowds of people are seen outside the mosques. More than 53 thousand are infected in Pakistan.

President Arif Alvi said that he is dedicating this Eid to the people killed in the plane crash, doctors, nurses, and laborers who trying to earn in times of coronavirus.

To encourage people to stay indoors, the President said that he would offer Eid prayers at home. He urged people to follow social distance, wear masks, and wash their hands to protect themselves, their family, and friends from the coronavirus.

According to Dawn News, on Saturday night, Prime Minister Imran had urged the nation not to celebrate the traditional festivities in the wake of Friday's plane crash in Karachi and deaths due to coronavirus.

On Twitter, Imran wrote that he wants the citizens to celebrate this Eid in a different way than the normal celebration.

Let us think and pray for all the families who have lost loved ones because of the plane crash and the coronavirus.

In another tweet, he insisted that people follow the guidelines to stop the spread of the virus.

Pakistan International Airlines passenger plane crashed in Karachi's model colony near Jinnah International Airport on Friday.

97 people were killed in this accident, while two people survived. So far 1,123 people have died in Pakistan due to the coronavirus which started in February, while there are a total of more than 53 thousand infection cases.
