TikTok Controversy This is not the first time Tiktok has come into controversy.


In the past, many countries including India have banned it.Tiktok has an old connection with controversies.

TikTok Controversy: Nowadays Bollywood stars are also using a new term. That term is Tiktok Star. 

At the moment Tiktok is in controversy due to one such Tiktok star Faisal Siddiqui.  The Women's Commission has also taken cognizance of the objectionable videos on the video platform. 

But this is not the first time Tiktok has come into controversy. In the past, many countries of the world including India have banned it.

Current controversy


The current controversy over TikTok started with a video of a user named Faisal Siddiqui.

A video of Faizal was accused of promoting an acid attack. Subsequently, the National Commission for Women took cognizance of this issue and asked Police to take action. 

Since then, many such videos have become viral on social media, accusing them of promoting sexual violence and violence on animals. 

Many trends related to Tiktok are included on Twitter.


Indonesia and Bangladesh have also been banned Tiktok

In the year 2018, Indonesia banned Tiktok due to negative content. However, three weeks later the ban was lifted.

Apart from this, TikTok is not available for internet users in Bangladesh. Bangladesh took this action in February 2019.

When Madras High Court banned


In April 2019, questions were raised on Tiktok's content. The Madras High Court heard the content of pornographic material and sexual violence.

After this, Madras High Court banned Tiktok for objectionable content. However, BiteDance later cited people's jobs in court. 

The Madurai Bench of its Madras High Court lifted the ban from the app with the condition that there should not be pornographic videos related to children and women on this platform.


America imposed a fine


The US has also fined TikTok in the case of child sexual violence. In the US, a case was raised on TikTok for accounts of children under 13 years old.

Along with this, a case of privacy and bullying of children was also revealed. 

After the charges were proved in February 2019, the Federal Trade Commission fined TikTok $ 5.7 billion.
