The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the deployment of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat. In the first phase, 272 personnel will be deployed here from August 25.

The Ministry of Home Affairs says that on behalf of the competent authorities, it has been decided to deploy 272 personnel to protect the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat. 

For this, a letter has also been sent by the Ministry to Rajesh Ranjan, DG, CISF.

Explain that the CISF personnel guard many important airports and Delhi Metro in the country. 

Apart from this, the CISF is also responsible for the security of all government buildings in the capital Delhi. 

Now it has been decided to deploy the personnel of this security force for the protection of the Statue of Unity.

At present, the entrance of the Statue of Unity is still closed for tourists, which is likely to be opened from September 2.
